Mindy Clark
Granddaughter of Highview in the Woodlands Resident

When Rockton resident Mindy Clark and her family realized that their 93 year-old grandfather and his 84 year-old wife could no longer live on their own in Arizona, they began to look for an assisted living facility closer to home. Upon touring Highview in the Woodlands and meeting with its staff, Mindy knew it would be the perfect fit for her grandparents.

“Grandpa is an outdoorsman. He loves to camp and experience nature,” said Mindy. “Highview is perfect because of its beautiful surroundings and access to secure outdoor spaces. Additionally, I liked that the Highview facility is all on one level and does not require my grandparents to go up and down stairs to get around.”

Mindy continues, “My grandparents are very happy at Highview. When living in Arizona, they loved to go out for dinner. Now, they refer to the Highview dining room as “the restaurant” because of its quality food selection.”

Mindy and her family faced insurance challenges when they went to enroll her grandparents at Highview.

“My grandparents had nursing home/assisted living insurance, but navigating through the red-tape of it all was very overwhelming,” said Mindy. “The staff at Highview went above and beyond to help us understand all the necessary paperwork, and even reached out to the insurance company directly to ensure everything was completed correctly.”

“Having my grandparents closer to home is nice,” said Mindy. “I am very pleased with and confident in the care they receive at Highview in the Woodlands.”
